AEROGEL MATS

Aerogel mats have a wide range of applications across many industries. They are characterized by a very low thermal conductivity coefficient, making them highly preferred wherever insulation with polystyrene, mineral wool, or polyurethane foam is insufficient. Aerogel mats perform excellently in various industrial sectors, including construction, energy, petrochemical, fuel industries, as well as insulation for RTV and household appliances. The main component of the mats we offer is aerogel, consisting of over 90–99.8% air. The rest is a nanoporous material obtained by removing the liquid part from silica gel. This structure makes aerogel an ideal thermal insulator with an exceptionally low thermal conductivity coefficient ranging from λ = 0.012 to 0.016 W/m·K, whereas mineral wool ranges between λ = 0.030 and 0.045 W/m·K. The nanoporous structure of aerogels also contributes to excellent sound insulation. They are completely non-combustible and show high resistance to chemicals. Aerogel-based mats are also more resistant to water exposure and are reinforced with special fibers. They are easy to shape, cut, and model.

Here are the key features of the product, translating into ease of use and exceptional efficiency of aerogel mats:

  • Thin profiles of 5 mm and 10 mm, or multiples of these thicknesses depending on need
  • Exceptionally low thermal conductivity coefficient λ = 0.014 for 5 mm thickness and λ = 0.016 for 10 mm thickness
  • High flexibility allowing easy folding, gluing, cutting, and mounting
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Chemically safe, made from silica (sand)
  • Vapor permeable
  • Hydrophobic
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use – thermal insulation installation
  • Compression resistant
  • Maintains thermal properties under load and pressure
  • Easy to combine with other materials necessary for implementing various technical solutions
  • Resistant to very high and low temperatures
